i carry your heart with me

it took me quite a while to appreciate ee cummings.....the strange vocabulary made of punctuation, the odd meter, the abstractness of it all.....but in him was one of the most beautiful love poems i have ever read.  here it is.  if this doesn't want to make you give your entire self to your beloved, i can't say what will....

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
                                      i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than a soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

Chondromalacia...not so sexy.

I found out why my knee has been driving me nuts.  Chondromalacia.  And patello-femoral syndrome.  In a nutshell, my knee is overstressed because of the angle between my hip & knee and the cartilage behind my kneecap is paying the price.  Good news, though.  No Surgery! Yay!  But, apparently, I have no VMO (one of the quad muscles).  Plies in 5th position, here I come.  It's just like ballet when I was little.

If I get my scanner working, I'll show you my MRI.
